Not really. It is on, but there's nothing flashy going on. Just little ol' Pearls here, pretty much lost and confused. She's biting down on her thumb, it seems. Spoink, otherwise known as Bouncer, is bouncing (as per usual) up and down, trying to be seen in the video. It's...not working out so well, since all you can see is the pearl, but at least he's trying! ]

This is working, right? [ She's not exactly looking directly at the camera, which is why she's asking. She would probably be less nervous than she appears if she knew how to work the voice function, but she hasn't even realized it is a thing that exists yet! ]

I'm... a bit lost... could someone tell me where I could find Kurain Village? I'm in this place called New Back [ Bark.] town, so...

Will it take a long time to get there? What do I need? And-

[ Spoink finally manages to jump high enough for everyone to see him! Hi, everyone, hi hi!!

Pearls just seems to grow more and more nervous. ]

- why is this... Spoh-ink... following me? _{I'm still surprised it hasn't stopped bouncing... He must have been right...}

It must be a region outside of Kurain Village, then! [ Because Pearls can assume these things based on limited outside knowledge. She's...also having a hard time believing the other world thing, so she's trying to dismiss it. ]

I don't think I've ever seen a Kurain Village in the map... but I could be wrong! [ At the sight of the girl's Pokemon jumping up and down, Kobato can't help but smile. ] It's following you because it's going to be your new friend in this world, here in Johto.

[ She looks back over to Bouncer. Oh, well, that makes sense? She doesn't press the subject further, since Bouncer has been incredibly friendly since she- or well, since he found her. ]

I don't think I understand- why is everyone saying 'this world' or 'new world'? [ She wasn't dead. She's made sure of that. So, what's everyone mean by 'new world'? ]

[ Kobato pauses for awhile. How did the people explain it to her when she first arrived again? ]

You see, there are lots of different kinds of worlds in the universe! [ At least that's what they say. ] You've been taken from your home and pulled into this different world, the world of Pokemon. No one knows how or why yet, I think.

[ Maria smiles brightly at the camera to the fellow young girl, as if nothing is wrong at all. ]

[ Bouncer seems to attempt nodding and bouncing at the same time, but it only results in him falling over, the pear on his head rolling until it hits a nearby sign. Pearl freaks out and gets on her knees, setting the camera down and hurriedly helping the Spoink back up. Bouncer starts bouncing again as soon as he's helped up, but it's a kind of slow and sluggish bounce. Not only that, but both Trainer and Pokemon look like they had just about had a heart attack! ]

Are you okay? Oh, wait, hold on.

[ The camera soon focuses again after Pearl's picked it back up, and Spoink is on the screen this time. ]

I'm sorry for that, but...

Would you mind telling me if he's okay? He seems tired.

[ Maria glances at the screen - first worried at the whole display with it falling, but then she looks a little more reassured again and tilts her head curiously. ]

Do you think he's tired? Uu-, Maria thinks he looks okay.. He's bouncing..!

If he's tired, it's most likely because he won't stop bouncing... Or can't.

[ While Pearl is talking, Spoink bounces off screen. He comes back a few minutes later with a pearl on his head, and his bounce is much more livelier! Our dear little missus Fey here didn't notice, though. ]

...Wait... Where's your friend?

[ Pearl blinks while the image of her mun choking is shown in the background. She appears to be 'dying from and/or of laughter. Carry on. and looks down at Bouncer. Or well, down up down up down- you get what we mean. Bouncer makes this weird buuu! sound, and Pearl just takes it as an 'I dunno either' kind of expression. They turn their attention back to the white-haired stranger on the screen! ]

. . . Who is keeping time? [ Might as well ask the not-so-obvious. Or, is it the really-really-obvious? Urgh, too many doubts, Pearly just pushes them aside. ]

[Poor kid. Clover tries to explain things slowly and carefully while stroking two Eevees in her lap. One of the Eevees seems to be asleep, but the other is wagging her tail and staring intently at the Spoink.]

Okay, I dunno if you've already heard of it from others, but here's the deal.

[She looks a bit concerned; she feels sorry for the girl.]

One...you might not believe it, but you can't go back to wherever you came from by walking or traveling or anything. We're all gonna be stuck here for a while. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but yeah.

Two, your Spoink is your starter Pokémon. It's gonna be with you while you travel. Kinda like a pet, but I guess it's smarter than your average pet.

It's not impossible to find a way home, yeah...but a lot of people have already been here for over a year. Some get sent back, but...it's always hard to tell when that happens.

[The tail-wagging Eevee gives a yip.]

I don't wanna freak you out or anything, but this is Johto. It's uh...a long ways from Kurain Village. And that Spoink is your Pokemon! They're kinda like pets, but they're way more than that at the same time.

Mr. Deauxnim! [ She knows his last name is Butz, but saying Butz would be weird! Plus, she met him as Elise Deauxnim's apprentice! So she still kind of thinks he's studying art and what not. He was a pretty good one, too, last time she checked! ] How did you get here? Have you seen Mystic Maya and Mr. Nick? How has your art been going? Have you written a picture book- I would love to see it, if you have! [ Question bomb ahoy! ]

[ And then some sudden topic change! ]

'A long ways'? So there is a way back! It's just long! [ She's already been told these things many times, and each time it gets more detailed in some way. Which is good, since it helps her understand it all the more. ]

..Does that make them super-powered pets? Can they channel the spirits of the dead, too? [ Because super powers = always death related ]

[Deauxnim...a name he hadn't heard in months. Maybe even a year. It brings a smile to his face, even though his last memories of "Laurice Deauxnim" and Elise Deauxnim aren't the brightest.

It's a good thing this is a post so he can take the time to answer her questions. Because really, they're actually pretty good questions!]

No one really knows how they end up here, or how to get home actually. People come and then they just...disappear. Maya and Nick were here, but it's been almost a year since I saw either of 'em. [He looked sad as he spoke of his friends. He really does miss them. But talking about his art brightens his mood a little.] It's been going good! I haven't gotten around to my picture book yet, but I still want it to happen. I've been mostly drawing Pokemon here.

Kinda, actually! Though I don't know if they can channel or not. There are ghost and psychic type Pokemon, so maybe they can.

Disappear? Like a... a ma-jii-she-an? [ Memories of Max Galactica (more like Max Impractica)& the Big Berry Circus rush back to her. That was a very... fun case, actually, in a sense. She got to go to a circus and meet the members of the circus- it was the best! Until the murder, of course. But that was another story.

Two familiar names caught her attention, though. ] Mr. Nick and Mystic Maya were here a year ago?! [ She doesn't seem to believe this at all! No way is that possible- ... Actually, maybe it was. She fell quiet for a moment before speaking again. ]

Well, you'll make it eventually, but can I see some of your drawings, Mr. Laurice?

-- There are ghosts here? [ Pearls may or may not want to meet some- it's a debatable topic. She's kind of afraid one of them might be her mom somehow, but at the same time, she'd be happy to see her. ]
